Joshua 1:9 NKJV💜
My fav part of this verse is the first question, “Have I not commanded you?” This question really excites me because if you look back and read verses 1-9 you will see the statement “be strong and courageous” was encouraged more than once. Once you get to verse 9 you will see that it is very obvious that “be strong and courageous” was more of a reminder than a “didnt I tell you!?!?”. To me, I feel that God was encouraging and reminding Joshua of his provision. He was reminding Joshua that he had nothing to be worried about because He (God) IS with him wherever he goes.
Sometimes we need a little push and reassurance that everything will be ok. That even though God has given us the tools and guidance to go where He’s called us, we need a little nudge and head nod that we can do it and that is what I get from this passage. Personally in my life right now I am in that place where I keep looking back for confirmation and/or validation. Like a child looking up to mommy or daddy to make sure they are doing things right. In that moment is when I feel God saying “you got it, I told you...just be strong. Be courageous. You can do it!!”
So today I want to remind you Lovelies to “Be Strong and Courageous” because no matter the assignment on your life, God IS with you wherever you go. I encourage you to read and meditate on the first 9verses of Joshua for more of an understanding and the entire book when you have time.
